special jewelry

I really love the history and personalization of birthstones and birth flowers, specifically personified by jewelry. These treasures can make a thoughtful and sentimental gift for anyone really to adorn themselves and/or hold close the birth of a love.

MUSIC MONDAZE <> I should live in salt - The National

The temperature where I live has been below freezing all week and and a result of which is that everything in this town is salt stained and chalky. all things are covered in a in powdery dust that resemble a ghost version of existence.

2017 solstice wishlist

I'm all about giving and gifting experiences and not things that take up physical space in once life, however once and awhile tangible things are useful and nice. I'm interested in functional beauty These are a few things I'm over the moon about.

happy long weekend

Happy Long Weekend

I will be spending all the days at the beach, watering my garden, grilling food outside, including mushroom burgers, with friends, and lighting up all the sparklers I can get my hands on, and playing the America's favorite guessing game: fireworks or gunshot?

Earth Day 2017

Refuse<>Reduce<>Reuse<>Repurpose<>Recycle

Instead of only thinking of the earth once a year, we can make change in the practices of our daily rituals that will make a lasting impact in preserving the beauty of mother earth forever.
In celebration of earth day here are a few small modifications that can be implemented to make a larger difference*

1
air dry your clothes- I simply string a clothesline up in my apartment and hang garments on hooks, door knobs, backs of chairs, on top of the shower bar, or on hangers over the shower bar, if you were in the market for some aesthetically pleasing options: clotheslinedrying racktowel barhanging rack. In addition to saving the earth, you are able to lower your electric bill, and preserve the quality, shape, and life of the clothing, its better for the environment, better for your clothes, better for your utility bill. also if you are air drying you can omit the need of dryer sheets, added savings. if you were looking to cut harsh chemicals and mystery ingredients out of laundry this detergent is a great option.
2
reusable(ables)- use stainless steel containers or tiffins to cut down on the waste of disposable plastics, styrofoam, and use of plastic in general, I use them to bring lunch to work, to my mom's for leftovers, on picnics, road trips, movie snacks, and to taco/dessert night potluck. here are a few of my favorites: ECOlunchboxPlanetBoxonyx.
3
stop purchasing plastic toothbrushes and swap for brush with bamboo instead,  it is wholly compostable including packaging. besides natural wood is enduringly more beautiful than plastic. my dental care routine also includes this.
4
use unpackaged bar soap, or soap wrapped in paper in place of body wash, shaving cream, face wash, liquid hand soap. if you'd like to take it one step further use a shampoo/conditioner bar (or for bonus points make your own) to minimize packaging impact as well chemicals that are in most liquid hair cleansers, bonus: shampoo bars travel infinitely better than liquid soaps no more spills on all your wanderlust adventures and desires.
5
break up with chemicals. we end up breathing in a lot of the chemicals used to wash our dishes, laundry, bodies, homes and eventually they make it into our water supply, make your own non toxic cleaning products, using simple household items, and essential oils, and store them in reused glass bottles.

Reformation Parisa Dress

The Reformation Parisa Dress gets everything right.
linen, obviously, check.
fit and form. check.
class class class.
colors.

I love the white and rose colors of this dress but the navy seems like it would be more immune to spills and hide the dirt and dust of traveling.

Margot Robbie looking flawless in rose, After flying no less!
